Time and cost
All sessions last for 50 minutes and are once a week at the same time. I charge £60 per session. I have some concessionary places available so please feel free to ask.
Initial session
This is an opportunity for us to meet, for you to get a sense of me and my counselling room and to see if you feel comfortable speaking with me. Research shows that the relationship between us is paramount for therapy to be successful. There is no obligation to meet again. If we do decide to meet again I would suggest making an initial commitment to six sessions, at which point we can review our work and consider whether to commit to further sessions.
Confidentiality
Everything we discuss is treated in the strictest confidence by me and I will not break our confidentiality agreement except where you give consent for me to share information, or if I have concerns about your safety, or the safety of a third party. In this case, I may be under a legal or moral duty to inform the authorities.
All counsellors discuss their clients with a supervisor, as a professional requirement, and supervision is designed to protect your interests and to assist me in my professional development.
